COEQWAL Web Platform Launch Event

We invite you to the COEQWAL launch event on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Please join us at the California Natural Resources Agency headquarters in Sacramento, where we will celebrate the public release of the COEQWAL web platform and reflect on the remarkable partnerships that have made this project possible.

Please complete this RSVP form to let us know if you will be joining us in person at the CNRA 1st floor auditorium (715 P Street in Sacramento). We will offer a live Zoom stream for those who are unable to attend in person. 

The afternoon will include:

  • Welcome remarks from agency and university leadership, including Lisamarie Windham-Myers, Lead Scientist of the Delta Stewardship Council, and Theresa Maldonado, Vice President for Research and Innovation at the University of California Office of the President (1-1:30pm)
  • An introduction to the COEQWAL platform, its collaborative research process, and key findings by project lead Ted Grantham, UC Berkeley (1:30-2:10pm)
  • A panel discussion moderated by Letitia Grenier, Director of the PPIC of Water Policy Center, with Joaquin Esquivel, Chair of the State Water Resources Control Board, Louise Conrad, Lead Scientist of the Department of Water Resources, Barbara Barrigan-Parilla, Executive Director of Restore the Delta, and Donna Miranda-Begay, Chief Executive Officer at CA Native American GIS (2:10-3:45pm)
  • Presentation on the next phase of COEQWAL’s collaborative science by project co-lead Wietske Medema, UC Berkeley (3:45pm-4pm)
  • An networking reception with light refreshments (4-4:30pm) 
  • An interactive demo, where guests can explore the platform and continue conversations (4:30-6pm)
